Playing StylePosted on: May 13, 2007, at 10:51:06pm [ 9 comments] I always thought my playing style was normal; that there are over 1 million players, surely quite a few do this, too. But, alas, after reading the forums for almost an hour, going through countless threads on playing styles and asking multiple people today wether this is natural or not, I've come to the conclusion that this playing style is one of the most unique and unrecognized there is. I play in the following manner:
Left - Left-hand middle finger
Right - Right-hand ring finger
Down - Left-hand index finger
Up - Right-hand middle finger.
I guess that this position seems most natural to me because I started with one hand:
Left - Right-hand index finger
Right - Right-hand ring finger
Down - Right-hand middle finger
Up - Right-hand middle finger
I kept my middle and ring finger position for the ^ and > and added my left hand. I tried index, but it seemed too crowded. Than, after it was almost a week after playing this way, I made this account. I have been playing like this ever since. I just recently started experimenting with the other positions and if I had to switch to a different one now, it'd be either spread or crowded spread. I think it's easiest to stick to my way.
Am I the only one with this finger postion? Does anyone else use this fingering as well? Tell me your thoughts on this and if you or someone you know plays this way. | i absolutely love your profile COLBERT NATION FTW!!!! | | o.o | | Thats good! :D I have no clue though about the game BUT I heard it was sapose to come out soon! =] | | Hey! hows it goin? :) | | thnx dude | | awh thanks <33 | | thanks for your vote ;D | | Reminder to get in your Rock Band scores | | e timing, and you probably won't have to worry about it in the first 4 or 5 rounds. Add me on XBL and when I have a chance I will go into more detail and hopefully I'll be able to help you out. | | Sure. Okay, so squeezing is using star power optimally to achieve extra points. This means you whammy when it's called for, and hit the overdrive button with good timing. For starters, you need to know overdrive paths. Use the link below to help you. http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/index.php?c=4&sid=9eb97e0e4afbf6db11c4bdcc14ff5d93 Now go there, pick your instrument and difficulty. Then find the song you want, and look at the forum. There will be an overdrive path listed. It should look vaguely like this, if it's in the form of text. 2 - Third orange 3 - First green 2 - 40% of the solo 4 - Sixth RB chord I hope you can figure out what that means for yourself. Now squeezing means that you're going to delay hitting a note, and wait as long as possible WITHOUT missing it, hitting overdrive and hitting the note. This makes it where you get overdrive for that note, but the overdrive carries on an extra note after where it normally would. This requires precis | | Older Comments |
